the flying cricket bat !

I got this in the mid eighties. I can't remember playing it on stage but it is a perfect travel bass because it is so short, even though it has a full 34" scale. Made in Japan by the Matsumoko company, these headless basses were only made for a short time to capitalise on the popularity of the much more expensive Steinberger instruments. The matte black paintwork emulated the carbon-fibre look of the original although they are in fact made of wood. This particular bass is now owned by Brian from Canberra. I am hoping to feature more of Brian's lefty collection soon.
